Executive Management

Strong common culture but with local responsibility

Attendo’s Board of Directors has delegated responsibility for the company’s management to the CEO and the Executive Management Team. Attendo has four Business Areas that are governed by a respective Business Area Director with responsibilities divided based on geographic regions and service offering. All Business Area Directors report to the CEO.

In addition to this, there are three Group functions: Finance, Business Development and Communication and IR, which all report directly to the CEO and are part of the Executive Management Team. Executive Management meets once per month to follow-up results and financial position, update strategies and business plans, and discuss the Group’s quality work, employee and organisational questions.

Attendo also has two Group-wide committees: the Quality and Investment Committees. For more information on these, please see the link on the right.

Attendo’s Business Areas

The Business Area Directors are responsible for the operational and financial monitoring of their respective Business Areas. This is reported monthly to the CEO and Group functions. The nature of the services and customers as well as the processes and routines for executing the services are similar. Division into different Business Areas is primarily done to create local ownership for Attendo’s operations.

The Scandinavian operation is divided into two Business Areas, one which is responsible for care for older people and one that is responsible for care for people with disabilities and individual and families. The Finnish operation is divided into two Business Areas, one with a focus on care and one that is responsible for the operation within health care and staffing.

Attendo’s Business Areas consist of a number of regions that in turn are divided into different units. Currently, Attendo runs approximately 500 units throughout the Nordic region. These regions and units are supported by a number of support departments such as: finance, quality, marketing and HR.

Attendo’s Group functions

The Group functions are responsible for all Group-wide questions within Attendo, such as establishment of policies, guidelines and Group-wide processes. Group functions shall also provide the CEO and Executive Management with expertise within their respective areas of competence. These include, inter alia, business development, auditing, controlling and reporting, risk management, internal control, financing, insurances, legal questions and external communication.
